Adu Project

The ADU project at 2244 Pacific Ave. was part of a three phase project for the home owner. She had just purchased a 1910 Victorian that was magnificent but also needed a new foundation. I worked with the client to find a contractor and structural engineer to obtain permits and strengthen her lower level. We also designed and provided French doors to the back yard for a future lower play room and guest suite.

Simultaneously, I designed, drafted plans and obtained permits to concert her garage into an ADU., ( Auxiliary Dwelling Unit). The new ADU is a studio with kitchenette and bathroom. The new unit is a cute little cottage accessible from the long driveway perfect for renting.

I will work with the client in the new year to add a new staircase in the main home down to the new lower play room and guest suite. By building ADU rental unit, the client can have income property to improve the main Home.
